Children are naturally creative, but we all get a little stuck sometimes. While coloring books for kids can be a little stifling, and a blank piece of paper is (not always but sometimes) can be a little daunting, drawing prompts are a good way to spark the imagination without confining it.
With that in mind here are four winter drawing prompts:
- A house you can decorate for the holidays or cover in snow
- A winter hat — Who is wearing it?
- A snowman shape — What is this snowman wearing? Is someone there with him?
- A little star — Is it in the sky, on top of a Christmas tree, or somewhere else?
I hope you’ll print these out, get out some crayons and markers and set to work making your own drawings alongside your children, perhaps with a cup of hot chocolate!
